A winner of the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after many years of hard work and an perseverance. Jones was born into a family of no mothers and had five children living in poverty and hardship as a youngster, experienced extremely difficult childhood. Jones's mother travelled frequently and lived in a church basement. This nomadic life forced Jones to change schools and attend a new school every calendar year, up to the point she started high school. When she attended Theodore Roosevelt High School, Jones was separated from her mother in order to pursue her interest in running events.
