Even a brilliant career can be a cover for the most sad stories. Lolo Jones, who took home the USA and World Championships for hurdle events in 2013, only achieved this feat with a lot of work and perseverance. Jones experienced a tough childhood as she was born to a single mother in a large family. She lived with her mom at a basement church and was constantly on the go. Jones had to attend the same high school each year because of her nomadic upbringing. When she attended Theodore Roosevelt High School, Jones lived apart from her mother in order to pursue her interests in the track and field events. Jones lived with four different families in order to keep her study focused. Jones won her the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Award for the Best Athlete in high school. She was a part of the school orchestra as a cello player. Jones was one of the college's top hurdlers when she entered. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship she was the winner of the 100-meter hurdles. She was also an athlete which finished second in the 100 meter relay. Jones is the NCAA Champion in indoor hurdles both in 2003 and 2014. Career After completing her studies in 2005, Jones began training hard for a track career. In 2005, she was winning the Torino Memorial race, in 2006 she took in the Heusden and Ostrava racers.

Brandt, who was raised in Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings relocated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her teens. Brandt was discovered in Auckland by casting directors and landed the role of Naevia, in the Starz hit show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. D Knight (Sam Raimi) and Steven S. D Knight (Steven S. D Knight) the actress was an instant hit. Mazikeen was a popular fan favorite DC/Vertigo character from comics and the Vertigo/DC show Lucifer was her role in the cult Netflix show. Brandt will next be seen with Andrew Lincoln in the limited Walking Dead 6 episode spin-off scheduled to air in 2024. Brandt also appears alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in a mature animated feature that will be released on Netflix on July 20, 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt born in Cape Town South Africa on December 2, 1981. She's an extremely talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt and her family relocated to Auckland in New Zealand in 1999. In Auckland Brandt's first job, she was an agent for sales, and later was promoted into the role of an IT consultant. Lesley's professional career started with couple of model projects. Her appearances then included many commercial ads. In 2008, she finished her training in acting. Then, in 2009, she continued training with the Meisner method of study. Her first major acting work was with the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt is a supporting guest on New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In the sequel to this sci-fi series This Is Not My Life she played the town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt appeared as Naevia a young hostage in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Her character was featured in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
