A glittering professional's career can conceal many of the most tragic stories. Brandt moved to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in late in her adolescence. The local casting directors discovered her. Brandt was cast in the role as Naevia in the Starz smashes Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was among the main stars of this series, working with Steven S. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as Naevia in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
