Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actor most famously known for her part as Bo in the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk is a Canadian actress who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk who was a well-known actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother while at work, and also attending practice sessions for plays. Silk made several commercials while she was still a child. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two productions in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto and moved to Los Angeles during the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 after they met during an Actors' Workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They got married in December 2009 following a civil ceremony. The couple was married on April 10, 2011. renewed their vows in a Jewish celebration in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk gave birth to a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on the 13th of May, in 2016. Silk has played a range of roles on television, among them Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win a Gemini Award in 2009 for her performance. In 2009, she was cast as the main Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale and announced this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. On June 20 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to work on the show. CNN, Cable News Network and E! have both named Bo (played by Silk) as well as Lauren Palmer (Zoie) as one of their top TV couples. Entertainment Television.
